Human Resources Business Partner and Top Talent Recruiter

The Opportunity

TrueFort is looking for an innovative and passionate human resources business partner with recruiting experience.  An amazing human being that is strategically focused on recruiting top talent, maintaining that top talent and developing a program that coincides with our company success. We are looking for you to partner with business leaders and individual contributors to develop and execute strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement; as well as: building relationships internally, advocating for our employees’ needs and aligning initiatives with our business goals. We are looking for someone who will proactively identify new opportunities to build an inclusive culture, implement effective change management and drive business results. To succeed, you will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations. You will possess both people management and recruiting skills and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with the CEO and COO.

Who are you?

  • You have 5+ years of Human Resources Generalist and/or Human Resources Business Partner experience including experience with recruiting, in the high-tech industry.
  • At least 4-6 years of full-lifecycle experience recruiting engineers.
  • At least 2 years hiring Software Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, or Product Designers.
  • You have a deep understanding of the technical landscape and able to speak eloquently about software development.
  • You have experience working as part of a global team.
  • You own a strong understanding of US employment and immigration law(s).
  • You have a strong business acumen, a solid understanding of core organizational goals and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with discretion, thoughtfulness and empathy.
  • You will have the ability to adapt to frequent change and growth as a creative resourceful problem solver.
  • You have successfully demonstrated the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization (including C-suite executives) that have a wide range of personalities and skill sets.

Education:
  • You will possess a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or a related field
  • SHRM certification or other HR certification is a plus.

What will you do?

You will serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner on team planning, recruiting, performance management, career development, leadership coaching, organizational design, employee relations, and compensation to support a scalable and progressive people organization in a fast-growing technology company. Through regular check-ins, attending team meetings, survey feedback, and exit interviews, you’ll maintain a “pulse” on team culture and engagement, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Additionally, you will play an active support role in the planning and changes around team structure and staffing, hiring plans and process, change management, organizational design, promotions, and compensation for your assigned teams. You will advise the business and teams within labor laws and compliance requirements (FLSA, Independent Contractors, etc.) and will escalate and respond to internal complaints as needed. In addition, you’re familiar with navigating HRIS, and Microsoft 365 and Teams.

In your role as the Human Resources Business Partner to the Company, you will:

  • Own the HR function and build it to serve our employees and support overall growth.
  • Coordinate new hires, provide onboard training, exit interviews, etc., as applicable.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to ensure adequate follow up and updates are provided to all candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Manage our people; i.e., own benefits administration, compliance maintenance, employee handbook creation, and people data management.
  • Continuously improve our employee relations by implementing training and development programs (i.e., coaching for new leaders, harassment training, etc.).
  • Establish best practice initiatives by working with team leaders in areas such as communications, recruiting new talent, performance and talent management, training, people engagement, and career development.
  • Provide strategic business partnership and coaching to people managers to positively impact the motivation, development, and retention of talent.
  • Develop performance review best practices and implement across all functional areas.
  • Serve as an HR and employment law consultant to the business.
  • Collaborate to build and implement cross-functional HR programs and initiatives.
  • Work with the executive team to evaluate team structure and skills, organization design, talent gaps, compensation packages, and hiring plan to achieve business goals.
  • Prioritize a diverse and inclusive company culture through recruiting, training and policies to help maintain our company culture as we scale.
  • Partner with the Legal team on compliance with federal, state, and local laws inclusive of H1B, GC and other immigration compliance.
  • Compile, analyze and capture industry standard insights from data to support business decisions and drive company goals.

 

 

In your role as a Recruiter to the Company, you will:

  • Support the recruitment needs by helping to schedule candidate interviews across open roles.
  • Coordinate with CEO, and other department heads to ensure we have access to the right human capital to meet our current and future needs, identify gaps in the org structure, and surface emerging leaders.
  • Coordinate job searches, interviews, and hiring process.
  • Partner closely with and support the hiring manager to ensure outstanding customer focus for a specific client group within the organization.
  • Assist in defining and designing key people (HR) strategies in alignment with client business priorities and goals, including but not limited to growth, organizational design, employee development, and workforce planning.
  • Assist the Executive team in monitoring overall effectiveness of programs and services by tracking key talent metrics to identify and analyze people related issues, root causes, and possible levers for solutions.
  • Understand and manage key organizational changes by identifying the impact on people, business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organizational structure.
